Company Snapshot

Globant’s four founders, Martín Migoya, Martín Umaran, Guibert Englebienne and Nestor Nocetti have transformed a self-staffed IT outsourcing shop into a ballooning company of more than 2,000 employees. Based in Buenos Aires, Globant is one of Latin America’s fastest growing independent software product development companies and the leader of a new sector in Argentina. The entrepreneurs’ goal is to put Argentina on the radar of large global companies as an alternative offshore IT services country.

Since selection by Endeavor, Globant has expanded to Córdoba, Tandil, Rosario, Resistencia, Bahía Blanca and La Plata, in Argentina, Montevideo in Uruguay, Bogota in Colombia, and also has offices in Boston, Silicon Valley and London. It was the first Latin American outsourcing firm to work with Google. Since selection, company revenues have grown by 884%.

In March 2011, Globant received $15 million in expansion capital from Riverwood Capital and FTV Capital.

Endeavor and Globant

Through the Endeavor network, Globant has already bought Openware, a back-end tech company, enacting the first merger of two Endeavor companies. Endeavor also helped Globant raise financing from US-based venture funds.

Like any dynamic company, Globant is always learning. After participating in an Endeavor tour to Google’s Mountain View Campus, the team of entrepreneurs all agreed on the importance of corporate culture — and went on to design their offices accordingly (as well as hiring Google’s Latin America director).

After an Ernst & Young fellow helped streamline the company’s HR strategy, Globant has hired over 1,500 young Argentines.

Globant has also participated in the pilot program for Endeavor’s Top 25 program.

In addition to sitting on Endeavor Argentina’s board, the Entrepreneurs donate time as speakers, panelists, and mentors.
